Poker it's a great game and lot's of people like to play just for the emotions and the fun and there is nothing wrong with it. But if you'd like to advance in your poker jorney and in the long run take some profits, you should keep your expenses money and you poker money (Bankroll) separate, just like in a business. In poker your bankroll it’s your fuel, like petrol in a car, so you have to be sure that it will take you to your destination. So how much should you risk? That should depend were do you want to get, you game type and your ROI (Return On Investment). For some it can be 50$ for others it may be 1000$, the experts say, for Tournaments or Sit and Goes it has to be at least 100 to 150 buy ins , for cash game it's at least 40-50 buy ins . This is the first and the most important rule of all.
